Client access for service is dependent on needs, goals and the guidelines of the various funding bodies. Some level of service is available to all Canadians.
Clients are served depending on their need to determine suitable occupations, acquire additional information about work, and/or find employers with meaningful and sustainable employment. Our professional staff will direct each member to the most appropriate job search assistance until their employment-related goals are met.
We welcome you to visit our two Resource Centres; Alliston and Angus which are opened Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm with extended hours on Wednesday’s from 9:00am – 7:00pm.
As part of our Outreach program, a representative from FOCUS visits the Tottenham Chamber of Commerce every Thursday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Resource and Information
The FOCUS Employment Resource Centre in Alliston and in Angus provide a wide variety of Labour Market, Job Search and Career Planning information in print, computer-based, audio and video formats.
Access to job banks and ability to view job postings from local Employers on-line or in each Centre is available.
Employment related Workshops such as Resume and Interview Workshops; Second Career and Apprenticeship information sessions are scheduled on a regular basis.
Computers, fax machines, phones, and photocopiers are available for client use at no cost to you.
Staff is available to assist with the resources and to help users of the centre determine the level of service you need or if other community resources might be beneficial. Service is available in both French and English.
Assisted Clients may access individual or small group assistance in Career Planning and Job Search. As an assisted client, you may continue to use the Employment Resource Centre and work with our professional staff to guide you with your Job Search and Career Decision Making.
Job Placement and Incentives
Assisted Clients may also access workplace-based participation that includes referrals to available jobs, time limited support in the workplace and/or wage subsidies for the Employer.
Some clients may be eligible for training supports that will assist them in gaining the necessary skills to increase their ability to find and keep appropriate employment.
