Description
Summer Student Contract Position:
Family Engagement Assistant
35 hours per week for 9 weeks (June 23 – Aug 22)
Monday to Friday with some evenings and some Saturdays
$18.14 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
Applicants must be enrolled in school and be younger than 30 years of age to meet grant requirements.
Partial funding paid by the Government of Canada.
Job Activities:
- Work with a team to deliver summer program activities for children aged 4-12
- Create an inclusive environment for all children to participate
- Foster literacy development in children
- Make meaningful connections with the community
- Assist with other library tasks as time permits
- Transportation required to travel between both library branches
