Food Service Helper (FOS-02) on the CAF base in Borden, ON

Are you looking for a position within DND and looking for a Healthier Work/Life Balance? The Canadian Armed Forces Base (CFB) in Borden, ON is hiring several Food Service Helpers (FOS-02) to join the Department of National Defence civilian team!

As a Food Service Helper, you will assist in the preparation of food, independently and/or as part of a team, operate Point of Sale Terminals to collect meal charges from clients, clean, use, and maintain food services facilities.  You will also assist in storing and distributing food and non-food service supplies to the appropriate area of the kitchen and/or dining facility.

You will be part of an enthusiastic team of civilians and military personnel offering food services to the Canadian Armed Forces members who serve our country. 

These positions are available on a term and/or permanent basis.  They are full-time positions (40 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $21.82/hr - $23.76/hr with the public services pension plan, paid vacation, paid sick leave and full benefits. 

Casual positions also available on a 90 Day Contract for those who wish to work part-time hours or afterschool and weekends. This contract excludes the public services pension plan, paid vacation, paid sick leave and full benefits.

Although not a necessity, if have experience in food handling practices and techniques in a food services industry such as restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering services or in an institutional environment such as hospitals, correctional facilities, etc and looking for a work/life balance with full time hours in a shift work environment in state-of-the-art Kitchen, we want to hear from you!
