General Labourer – Manufacturing

We are looking for a driven individual to join as a General Labourer – Afternoon Shift.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must be available to work Afternoon Shift
• Must be available to work Weekends
• Sort, cut and stack incoming lumber
• Operate automation equipment with proper training, in a safe and responsible manner
• Use hand tools and battery powered tools such as: saws and nail guns
• Provide support to other departments as needed
• Assist in post-fabrication work on NLT Panels

Qualifications and Skills:

• Class G driver’s license
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Excellent work ethic and attitude
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team
• Must have the ability to learn quickly
• Flexibility to work overtime as required
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
• Experience in lumber and/or industrial environments is considered an asset
• Forklift certificate would be an asset
• Mechanical aptitude would be an asset

Physical Requirements:

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Lift/carry 20-40 lbs, repetitively for 8-12 hours a day
• Handle noise, vibration and dust
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work outside at various times of year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
