The Tottenham Beeton District Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking a part time Office Administrator. This is an IN PERSON role in our Tottenham, Ontario office.
_ We are not looking for a virtual employee._
This job entails daily tasks such as communicating and liaising with members and the community, precise record keeping, invoicing and taking payments, attending meetings, as well as planning and attending Chamber and Community Wide Events.
You will be required to work 2 Sundays in July and 2 Sundays in August (of your choosing) at the Tottenham Artisan & Farmer's Market (10:30-5) as well as 1 Saturday in the Spring at the Home Show and 1 evening in September for the AGM.
One evening per month is also required in attending Board Meetings.
You must be comfortable visiting in person and communicating with local business owners and community organizations in the area and have a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of one year experience in an Office Administration position.
Experience in a Chamber of Commerce or Business Improvement Association is an asset.
Experience with basic bookkeeping is preferred. Knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, or equivalent.
