Press Operator

ACES Recruitment is searching for Press Operators to work in a clean, fast paced automotive manufacturer environment in Beaverton Ontario on a night shift. 10:30pm-6:30am

The Press Setup Operator is a supporting position for the production and quality objectives of leader in the automotive industry. This position requires pre-planning in advance the status of tooling and materials required for the product of the schedule. To assist in the setting up of the equipment and materials, inspect parts, and obtain a first piece approval of the product. Other duties can be assigned by the supervisor or manager. Operator will be using a computerized process to track appropriate downtimes and production while also tracks inventory and quality of production.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and handle using established standard operating procedures and guidelines to manufacture and ensure the product meets quality objectives
• Obtain the necessary tooling and materials
• Set up the press, inspect parts, obtain inspection for first piece approval and then run parts based upon directions received, utilizing punch presses.
• Communicate with Production Manufacturing Supervisor of needs or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 100 lbs.
• Manual dexterity required to use power and hand tools.
• Frequently noisy working environment.
• Overtime as required.
