Fraudulent Job Policy
FOCUS understands that searching for employment is a challenging endeavour and can be stressful. FOCUS provides a free local job posting service for our area employers to help them attract the workers who will continue the success of their business.
FOCUS developed these rules and tips for job searchers because we are committed to providing a safe and trustworthy local job board.
Please be aware that:
- This job board is for legitimate job postings only. Any job postings found to be fraudulent will be removed from the portal, and the individual or company posting the job will be banned from making any further posts.
- We do not accept job postings that require candidates to send money or provide personal information as part of the application process.
- We will never request payment, banking information, or personal identification documents (e.g., SIN, passport)
- We encourage candidates to verify the legitimacy of job postings through the company’s official channels before applying.
- All legitimate job opportunities will be posted only through our job post portal and verified channels.
- Communications from our recruitment team will come from an official company email address (e.g., @focuscdc.on.ca).
- If you receive suspicious messages, requests, or offers that do not follow our standard process, do not respond and report them immediately.
Protect Yourself:
- Verify the job posting on our job post portal before applying.
- Be cautious of offers that seem “too good to be true.”
- Never share sensitive personal or financial information with unverified sources.
