Sanitation Worker

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas within compounding and filling departments in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize compounding areas, filling equipment, tools, and utensils according to established procedures.
• Complete daily and weekly sanitization activities to maintain a clean and contamination-controlled environment.
• Sanitize assigned equipment within 24 hours of becoming available.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, mop buckets, sinks, sprayer nozzles, and sanitizing equipment.
• Replace mop heads regularly and maintain proper storage of cleaning tools.
• Accurately complete equipment usage logs, sanitization room logs, and equipment sanitization cards.
• Confirm equipment sanitation to laboratory personnel as required.
• Follow company SOPs, GMP requirements, health and safety regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Industrial cleaning experience is an asset.
• Ability to work in a wet environment and lift heavy objects repeatedly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of GMP is preferred.
• Availability to work overtime as required.

Work Environment

Floors and work surfaces may become wet and slippery. Employees must exercise caution and follow all safety procedures to prevent workplace injuries.
