Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative contributes to an exceptional shopping experience by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation, and supporting daily store operations. All duties must align with Farm Boy’s vision, mission, and the Farm Boy Way.

Key Responsibilities

1. • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service, sharing a passion for food and assisting customers with product inquiries.
   • Welcome customers, respond to their needs, and resolve complaints in accordance with Farm Boy policies.
   • Maintain well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing displays, ensuring accurate signage, pricing, product rotation, freshness, and quality.
   • Keep work, storage, and retail areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
   • Follow all health and safety standards, procedures, and equipment-use guidelines.
   • Perform assigned opening and closing duties and assist other team members as required.
   • Support a positive team environment and complete other related duties as assigned by the Department Manager or designate.

Qualifications

1. • Less than one year of retail experience typically required; partial completion of secondary school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
   • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
   • Commitment to product quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
   • Ability to follow instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute effectively to a team.
   • Fluency in French is considered an asset.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

1. • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
   • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including on the retail floor and in coolers and freezers.
