Description
To provide a positive learning environment which encourages and contributes to the development of each child as competent, capable, curious and rich in potential. To be responsible in providing opportunities for meaningful play based on the child's individual needs, interests and abilities.
Skills Required
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
• Completed Post Secondary studies in Early Childhood Education Diploma/Degree or equivalent as deemed by the AECEO or a
demonstrated commitment to complete a diploma/degree in early Childhood Education;
• Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
• Minimum 1 year experience in a childcare setting with children zero to five years of age;
• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014;
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates;
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills:
• Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of individuals and families affiliated to the Canadian Armed Forces.
Assets
• Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
