CHILD CARE PROGRAM TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

The Borden Family Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable, community responsive organization which supports the mission of the Canadian Forces by providing a comprehensive range of support services and resources geared to fostering and enhancing one’s quality of life. 

Qualified applicants will possess the following:
• Minimum 1 year experience program planning for children zero months to six years of age
• Knowledge and understanding of regulations and guidelines as specified in the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014;
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of individuals and families affiliated to the Canadian Forces
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates

Assets
• Completed Post Secondary studies in Early Childhood Education Diploma/Degree or equivalent as deemed by the AECEO
• Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English

The Borden Family Resource Centre regards the potential spread of communicable diseases as an issue of workplace health and safety. Therefore, all current employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID (double vaccinated or two doses), and proof of vaccination is required. A criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening will also be required as a condition of employment for this position.
