Guest Experience Team Member
Barrie KOA Campground is seeking friendly, reliable, and team-oriented individuals to join our seasonal team for the 2026 camping season. As an award-winning, family-owned campground celebrating our 40th year, we offer a fun, fast-paced outdoor hospitality environment where teamwork and guest experience are at the heart of everything we do.
Located just 10 minutes north of Barrie on 60 acres of wooded land, Barrie KOA provides a wide variety of camping accommodations and amenities. Our team works collaboratively across multiple areas of the campground to create a welcoming, clean, safe, and memorable experience for all guests.
Position Overview
As a Guest Experience Team Member, you will be a key part of creating a welcoming, fun, and memorable stay for our guests. This front-facing role focuses on guest interaction, customer service, and supporting daily hospitality operations across the campground. Team members in this position enjoy working with people, staying active, and contributing to a positive team environment while assisting with guest check-ins, activities, housekeeping and food service
support.
What You May Be Helping With
- Welcoming and assisting guests, including check-ins, questions, and general support
- Camp store and retail assistance
- Food service support, including preparing and serving pizza, ice cream, and breakfast items
- Cleaning and maintaining cabins and shared facilities
- Assisting with campground activities, crafts, games, and themed events
- Providing friendly, professional guest service across the campground
- Supporting other teams during peak periods as needed
Qualifications
- Interest in hospitality, guest service, or campground operations
- Previous customer service or team-based work experience is an asset
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Willingness to work collaboratively across multiple areas of the campground
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods
- Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems, and basic technology
- Able to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Fluent in English; additional languages (including French) are an asset
- Must be able to complete mandatory training in April prior to the season start
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods (4–8 hours or more)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via radio/walkie system
Wages & Hours
- Starting wage: $17.60 per hour (or student minimum wage where applicable). Opportunities for wage increases may be available throughout the season based on performance, cross-training, and length of service.
- Seasonal employment from May 1 – October 18, additional hours available for full time employment.

- Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional guest service at all times
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with guests, fellow team members, and management
- Present a well-groomed appearance and wear the appropriate KOA uniform and name tag
- Show attention to detail when assisting guests or supporting daily operations
- Handle cash and campground resources honestly and accurately
- Actively promote Barrie KOA and the KOA system through positive interactions

This position reports to Campground Management and Owners.
