Land Surveyor Party Chief

Pearson & Pearson Surveying has an opening for an experienced full-time Party-chief. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in custom homes. Our work focuses primarily on custom infill housing. As a member of our firm, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that holds its employees to a high standard.

Experience and specialization

• Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys
• Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties
• Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities
• Advise and provide consultation on matters related to legal surveys
• Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment
• Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development

• AutoCAD
• MS Outlook
• MS Word
• Computer-aided design (CAD)
Field skills experience
• Operate survey equipment
• Operate total station to obtain information about property boundaries
• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
