Landscaping Lead Hand

The Opportunity:

Imagine Landscaping Inc, a local award-winning, full-service landscaping company specializing in design and construction, has an opening for a Landscaping Lead Hand.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Landscaping Lead Hand:

• reads blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
• measures and marks guidelines to be used for installations
• installs, repairs and services exterior products including (but not limited to) interlock paving stones, retaining walls, pools and pool features, cabanas, fencing, decks, irrigation systems, etc. using hand and power tools
• coordinates the work activity of assigned crew on site
• resolves minor issues that arise onsite
• escalates significant issues to Supervisor promptly
• coordinates work activities with other contractors
• requisitions materials and supplies as needed
• trains workers in job duties and safety procedures
• prepares documentation as needed
• recommends opportunities for improvement in process, techniques, and materials
• performs other tasks as assigned

High school diploma and/or completion of a recognized, related trade training program
Minimum five years' experience installing interlock paving stones and retaining walls
Minimum two years’ experience leading a construction/landscaping crew
Minimum 2 references from former supervisors/employers (will be contacted)
Valid “G” license or better with own reliable transportation to/from job sites
