Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (½ hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks)
Wage: Based on experience
Job Overview
A successful automotive repair and maintenance shop with strong community ties in Essa Township is seeking an Automotive Repair Technician to join their team.
This opportunity is open to candidates who have automotive experience, as well as individuals looking to develop their skills in the automotive trade. The successful candidate will be someone who values customer relationships, takes pride in their work, and is eager to learn and grow within a supportive shop environment.
A valid driver's licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with daily automotive repair and maintenance tasks
- Support seasonal tire changes, including unloading tires from customer vehicles and assisting with tire swaps
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Perform oil changes (training provided)
- Learn and perform tire dismounting, remounting, and balancing (training provided)
- Learn brake servicing and brake replacement procedures
- Assist with engine service work, including:
- Spark plugs
- Serpentine belts
- Radiator services
- Learn and assist with suspension and exhaust repairs
- Learn how to use automotive diagnostic scan tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
