Roads Labourer

The Township’s Public Works Department is currently seeking individuals to fill the requirements of contract Labourer positions.

Reporting to the Roads Supervisor, the Labourer is responsible for a variety of construction, maintenance and repair services for Township roads. The position is based on a 40-hour work week from April to October. Candidates must be able to operate a variety of light equipment, possibly including: front-end loader, dozer, tractor-backhoe, tandem dump trucks, and other specialized equipment, and carry out labour-intensive tasks.

Key Qualifications:
• Possess a valid Driver’s License in good standing. Class “D” or higher with Z air brake en-dorsement.
• Have 1-3 years’ experience operating construction equipment: front-end loader, dozer, trac-tor-backhoe, tandem dump trucks.
• Have knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

The position offers a wage range of $24.90 - $29.28/hr (2025), 40 hours per week. No benefits will be offered. The incumbent will be required to supply their own safety boots (CSA approved). Must be able to provide us with a clean driver’s abstract.
