The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Summer Student to support our marketing, communications, and member engagement efforts.
This is a great opportunity for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, marketing, and business development while working closely with the local business community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design marketing materials including social media graphics, newsletters, and promotional content
- Assist with social media management and content creation
- Support Chamber marketing campaigns and events
- Engage with members and promote Chamber initiatives
- Support sales efforts for the annual Chamber Guidebook, including outreach and follow-ups
- Provide general support to Chamber activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)
- Interest or experience in marketing and/or sales
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment
- Must have own transportation and access to a personal computer
- Comfortable working remotely part of the week
Canada Summer Jobs Requirements:
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally entitled to work in Canada
