Companion for Senior (Part-Time)

Position Title: Companion for Senior
Hours: 6 hours per week
Pay Rate: $20/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and friendly Companion to provide social support and companionship to a senior in the community. This role is ideal for someone with experience as a PSW, caregiver, or companion who enjoys helping seniors stay active, engaged, and connected.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the senior on walks and community outings
• Go for coffee or light social activities in town
• Encourage conversation and companionship
• Assist with recreational and leisure activities
• Provide general support and ensure the senior’s comfort and safety during outings

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors is preferred
• PSW certification is an asset but not required
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality
• Reliable transportation is an asset
• Clear vulnerable sector check may be required

Schedule

• Approximately 6 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling based on availability
