We are a fast‑paced, customer‑focused service department supporting a wide range of office technology across a diverse client base. Our team prides itself on quick response times, high‑quality workmanship, and a commitment to keeping our customers’ businesses running smoothly. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Office Equipment (Photocopier) Technician to join our technical service team.

Position Overview

The Office Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of multifunction photocopiers, printers, and related office equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong diagnostic skills, hands‑on technical experience, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a busy field environment.

Experience with Toshiba or Kyocera devices is a significant asset. Additional IT-related skills — such as networking, print driver configuration, or MFP connectivity troubleshooting — will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain photocopiers, multifunction printers (MFPs), and related office equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimal device performance
  • Install new equipment, including setup, configuration, and customer orientation
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to print environments
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and customer notes
  • Provide professional, customer‑focused support both onsite and remotely
  • Collaborate with dispatch and service management to prioritize and complete service calls efficiently
  • Stay current with manufacturer training, updates, and certification requirements
  • Assist with network-related tasks such as print driver installation, scan-to-email setup, and device integration (as applicable)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience servicing photocopiers or multifunction office equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if field-based)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced service environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience servicing Toshiba or Kyocera MFPs
  • Manufacturer certifications (Toshiba, Kyocera, HP, Canon, etc.)
  • IT-related skills, such as:
  • Basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Print driver installation and configuration
  • Scan-to-email / scan-to-folder setup
  • Understanding of Windows and/or Mac print environments
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools (e.g., FMAudit, PaperCut, etc.)
