Job Overview
We are seeking a fully licensed 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician with leadership experience to join our team. The ideal candidate would have 3+ years in a leadership role, overseeing projects and managing and supporting apprentices with exceptional technical skills. Organization, attention to detail and taking initiative are necessary skills in this role.

Duties

  • Safely and Properly install and repair electrical distribution systems including raceways, conductors, cables, fixtures, equipment, devices and other electrical apparatus
  • Manage jobs in process including coordination, documentation, quality, and safety
  • Perform assigned projects unto completion according to plan and budget
  • Manage project labour and materials efficiently
  • Serve as the primary liaison to both customers and clients
  • Attend and contribute to all project meetings
  • Provide leadership to direct reports to encourage teamwork and motivation
  • Guide customers to recommended solutions
  • Perform job according to ontario electrical code and standards
  • Coordinate with Project manager when jobs are ready for inspection
  • Make sure Apprentices are performing their task correctly

- Team leadership with ability to inspire appropriate action and encourage fellow workers
- Able to manage a variety of Commercial Industrial electrical projects to schedule and budget
- Capable of identifying the appropriate tools and equipment for job execution
- Comfortably reads and understands plans, scope of work and project standards
- Understands and properly applies safety procedures and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects over 50lbs, manoeuvring on stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; standing for extended periods;
squeezing into tight corners and spaces; bending over and crouching
- Schedule flexibility in order to work to job completion
- Excellent Math skills
- High motivation for customer delight; able to understand and secure customer expectations effectively and communicate solutions fluidly
- A growth mindset: welcomes training and coaching, and assumes responsibility
